Een zwarte macramé armband met zoetwaterparels

1.   Cut a 110cm piece of 1mm black macramé cord. Double it over. Cut a 50cm piece of jewellery wire. Tie them together with a knot, making a loop at one end of the macramé cord. Secure the end with the loop in a clip board.

2.   Now make two braiding knots with the macramé cord for each pearl threaded onto the jewellery wire. (For this bracelet we have used approx. 18 pearls). See “Jewellery School”, idea No. 12499 on our website for further instructions.

3.   When finishing, secure the jewellery wire with a needle in the last braiding knot made with the macramé cord, as the jewellery wire is not suitable for melting like the macramé cord.

4.   Cut open the loop at one end of the bracelet. Place the two cords from each end of the bracelet in parallel. Braid an extra 2 cm section over these four cord ends using a new piece of macramé cord. Secure the ends from the braided section by melting the ends with a lighter. Trim the other four ends and tie a knot at each end.
